Reporting directly to the Head or Executive Chef, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Sous Chef to make their mark on this venue serving contemporary modern European cuisine and assist in leading the operation to success.
- Reporting to the Executive Chef you will lead, motivate and manage a team of up to 10 staff.
- This is a busy and fast paced environment where food is very much the focus of the venue.
- Lead the team to deliver a unique dining experience for up to 200 covers.
- Help with the planning and execution of large scale events and functions.
- Take full accountability and ownership of your role, in a high class CBD location.
- Maintain high standards associated with this venue, highly regarded for its customer experience.
Required skills & attributes:
- A dedicated culinary professional with 3+ years' experience in Michelin-star or Hat-awarded restaurants.
- Experience with Modern European cuisine would be preferred
- A genuine passion for food, wine and world class customer service.
- Someone who is committed to training and developing not only a team but a culture throughout the business.
- Experience of maintaining a large staffing roster and financial management.
- The ability to lead and inspire their team to success.
Salary & benefits:
- $65-70,000 plus super based on experience
- Meals on duty
