Job Description

This well-loved restaurant is known for serving modern Australian cuisine to a high standard with a great ambience in a beautiful location on the Northern Beaches. An exciting position exists for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house team and drive the business forward.

The role:
  • Reporting to the General Manager, you will be passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience
  • You will have genuine energy and excitement for the hospitality industry and will be part of this company's unique culture
  • Lead and drive a passionate and motivated team of employees to deliver an incredible guest experience in line with company culture
  • With proven financial acumen you will be responsible for rostering and wage cost management in addition to other line items in the P&L statement
  • Actively increase restaurant revenue through efficient management of bookings and table allocations
  • Through previous management experience, you are comfortable dealing with financial POS tools, management & reporting
  • Assist with the setting up and packing down of lunch and dinner service as well as opening and closing duties
  • Committed to providing continuous training & development to the team and ensure a harmonious working environment
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and the highest standard of restaurant cleanliness
  • Contribute to and take part in management and departmental meetings
  • Liaise with the Head Chef on a daily basis to ensure that changes to the menu are communicated
Required skills & attributes:
  • Extensive experience in a similar role and venue
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary food and beverage concepts
  • Passionate about all aspects of hospitality, keeping on top of industry trends
  • Previous experience working in a high volume restaurant
  • Proven experience in leading a large team
  • High standards of grooming & personal presentation 
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident, friendly and always professional manner
  • Available to work Monday through Sunday during lunch and dinner shifts
  • Proven experience in leading, motivating and coaching your team
  • Effective planning, time management and decision-making skills
  • A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
Salary & benefits:
