General Manager

Having always had a predisposition for service from the age of 18, I decided to embark on a career in Hospitality. This began with attaining a Certificate IV in Food & Beverage Supervision, followed by an Advanced Diploma in Events Management whilst working full time for a Sydney hotel group (Burst) as functions manager across multiple Sydney based properties.

Whilst enjoying what the Sydney hospitality industry had to offer, I felt the need to travel and in 2005 made the move to the UK to work in the bustling London events scene.

Initially starting as a waitress for one of London’s most respected staffing agencies, Esprit, I progressed through the business from staff training and recruitment and on to the operations department where my main role was looking after some 400 events staff over 60 different clients.

After returning home from London in 2009, I went on to work for AMP as their Catering & Events Manager where I catered to the internal needs of the Board of Directors & CEO, including external guests, notary politicians and members of the media. 

Two years later, I had the fortunate opportunity of a chance meeting with BENCHMARQUE, where it became apparent that my experience and passion for the industry would be a great match for what the business wanted to achieve. With our passions aligned, I initially joined in the role of Staffing Manager and since then have gone on to build a growing operations division of six internal staff and some 400+ front-line ambassadors of our business.

In my role of General Manager, I have the exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the industries most talented and passionate people who inspire me every day to be the best manager, mentor and leader I can be.

I am driven by the idea of true leadership, where people are valued as a businesses greatest asset and working to inspire your workforce only strengthens not only your mark in the industry but your impact on growing the next generation of leaders.
