People & Culture Manager
My working life spans just over 15 years, in varied roles with the hospitality and Not For Profit sector with one common theme – people.
I have held multiple HR positions in the NFP sector. Each role allowed me to provide both employees and volunteers with opportunities to learn, provide a platform for managers to support their staff, offer tools to recognise and reward our people and overall, to create a safe workplace.
I worked closely with my business area to facilitate and provide support in end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, provide advice on employee relations, workplace investigations and performance management. I pride myself in demonstrating integrity and dedication in all my work, and I strive to work towards organisation goals.
Before this, I worked in multiple roles within the hospitality industry, primarily in Bars and Hotels. Similar to Human Resources, I learnt to work in challenging environments, which require flexibility to adapt to reactive environments, and highlighted the importance in maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders to provide high-quality customer service.
I've learnt to dream big, work hard, stay focused and surround myself with positive people. Everyone has a story to tell, so keep your eyes, ears and mind open, as you have the ability to learn the most from those around you.
I aim to offer all BENCHMARQUE employees with opportunities to learn and develop in their roles. I enjoy assisting managers with improving the recruitment and resourcing process, with the aim to attract quality people and to motivate those around me to work as a part of a transparent, collaborative team who strive to work towards organisational goals and continues to provide service excellence.
