Human Resources Manager
I am a motivated, compassionate and commercially-astute senior HR professional with significant experience in the Hospitality, Entertainment and Arts industries. My experience spans all aspects of HR including formulating and delivering people strategies and projects, end-to-end recruitment activities, building leadership capabilities, employee and industrial relations, organisational development and learning, and employee well-being and engagement.
I take pride in my ability to be a true partner to the business with my consultative and communicative approach and to understand the important operational aspects of the business, its people and customers. I am comfortable advising and working alongside all levels of a business from the frontline workforce to the Executive and Board. Building trust and respect between me and my stakeholders, and working alongside my team to embed those same values across the business, is so important to me. I am passionate about leading and encouraging a positive workplace culture and engagement, as well as employee health and wellbeing.
A Sydney local, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in HR (thanks to my high school Business Studies teacher!) but I was never quite sure which industry I would enjoy most. I somewhat fell into the Hospitality industry while I was at university and I have enjoyed every minute of it, working across a number of Sydney's biggest brands. I then applied those skills to my subsequent work in the Entertainment and Arts industry at Sydney Opera House. I learnt that those two sectors have a lot in common - I love the passion, enthusiasm and energy that all Hospitality and Entertainment professionals bring to their work.
In my role at BENCHMARQUE, I feel honoured to work behind the scenes with my team to ensure our people bring the highest levels of service and passion to our customers and clients through strong talent acquisition practices and organisational development and learning. My role also involves providing authoritative management advice and counsel on employee and industrial relations, as well as risk management, compliance and leading and delivering BENCHMARQUE's people strategies and projects.
